Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?(1966):
This is a pyrotechnic display in the form of dialogue for which I was wholly unprepared. It swept me away, but not in a romantic sense, more of a straddling two horses trying to kick their way out of a burning barn sense.
I have now seen what all the fuss and cultural references were about. Probably not a great choice for a date movie.

Jessica Jones: Season 3(2019):
I'm sorry to see this one go. In it's first season, it was my least favorite of the all Marvel-Netflix series. It improved vastly in the second and third seasons. The main villain this time around is sort of a Professor Moriarty type, though this one is not quite as smart, and does most of his own dirty work.
Also, Hellcats make terrible house pets. The look back into Trish "Patsy" Walker's career as a child star was both informative and moving. The theme for this final season seemed to be: Do the right thing even if it hurts someone you love.

Blackadder Goes Forth(1989):
The futility and grim realities of war couched in comedy. I cried at the end.

Venom(2018):
I told my partner that I couldn't think of anything to say other than "Yay! Venom!". So, Yay! Venom!

Blackadder's Christmas Carol(1988):
The reverse Ebenezer Scrooge thing was cool. The glimpse of the future was my favorite part.

Who's That Knocking at My Door(1967):
A young Harvey Keitel plays a real heel's heel, an asshole's asshole, and an all around swine who dumps his girlfriend when he finds out she is not a virgin. I'm willing to guess the synopses describing it as an exploration of Catholic guilt were written by men. It's about a childish misogynist who happens to be Catholic.
Notable for its good black and white looks, and for being Martin Scorsese's first feature film. It's good, but not a feel good. It's a shame Zina Bethune did not do more film work.

The Fairy(2011):
I've always had a hard time liking French movies, especially comedies. This one might have set a speed record for ejection. I made it twenty minutes before the painfully slow pacing and obnoxious repetition drove me to fast forward through the rest.
Way more annoying than romantic, and absolutely not for me. I liked the actors that played the lead roles, but that was all. Even if you like your slapstick extra slappy, I wish you the best of luck and patience with it. I needed another movie to make-up for this one, which is how I ended up watching Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. "Antithesis movie" would be a more apt description.
