The Last Visit

Description of an event that transpired at my home in February 2019

He arrived late morning as he usually did. He had been coming to my house once a month for over a year. We sat watching television for an hour or two.
For reasons I won't go into, I didn't expect this visit. A conversation we had the previous month gave me the impression that he wasn't going to be coming over anymore.
Typically, we would watch a few hours of television or play video games, then go upstairs to my room for a few hours. On this occasion, he mentioned he had consumed a number of food items to which I'm allergic while en route. I had some extra, brand new, still in the packaging toothbrushes available. I offered him one, telling him he would have to brush and floss before we did anything. He refused.
He said, "No. I'm fine."
I said, "You're not fine. You ate pastries on the way over here."
Again, he refused to brush his teeth.

For a moment, I considered asking him to leave. Instead, I sat down, and continued to watch television. As far as I was concerned, that was going to be all we did that day. About five or ten minutes passed. He became agitated and yelled in my face, "What's a guy gotta do to get some affection around here?!"
I was afraid he might do more than yell. I was afraid he might physically hurt me or my pets. I kissed him as he demanded. I did everything else he wanted. I let him sicken me to avoid escalating the situation. I couldn't stop looking at the clock. I couldn't get him out of my house fast enough. It was his last visit, whether he wanted it to be or not.

In spite of what he did that day, I was willing to keep my mouth shut as long as he kept his mouth shut, left me alone, and didn't obstruct me from continuing to participate in the meetings and conferences. Unfortunately, that's not how it went. It went the way of harassment, gaslighting, and threats. I'm not the type of person to assault someone, but if I were, and if I did, and my victim offered me an easy out of shutting the fuck up and acting like nothing ever happened, I would simply do that. He didn't. He escalated, again, and again, and again...forcing me out of everything by lying about me and what transpired between us to everyone in such a way as to portray himself as the victim, while making me out to be some sort of unhinged monster.
